National Clinical Trials For Breast Cancer Treatment

Participation in clinical trials is among the reasons Sibley's cancer program serving Washington DC, Maryland and Virginia has been certified by the American College of Surgeons as an accredited cancer program. It can provide our breast cancer patients access to new and potentially superior anti-cancer drug dosages and modes of administration.

To participate in clinical trials, hospitals must meet quality control standards established by the NCI, have credentialed physicians submit the applications, and demonstrate they have a large patient population.

Ask your physician if you may be eligible for study participation. Or call Natalie D'Itri, RN at 202.243.2373 to learn about studies available at Sibley in Washington DC.

The National Cancer Center's Information Service at 1.800.4.CANCER is also a resource at http://www.clinicaltrials.gov.
